The addition of Schmidt adds to the SWM professional portfolio of services, which now includes Media Relations, Public Relations, Crisis Communications, Social Media Training and Management, Video Production, Digital Marketing, Branding, Media Buying and more.

“The growth this company has shown since its launch in August 2018 has been gratifying to see,” President and CEO Scott Walker said. “The addition of Whitni takes us to another level that I’m very excited about.”

Schmidt began her media career in 2008 as an Account Executive at WGNO-TV before moving on to WVUE-TV. In 2015, she left local news to create Streamline Marketing Solutions, a boutique advertising agency. Now she brings her passion for putting clients’ best interests first to Scott Walker Media.

“I’m excited about this new opportunity to serve clients with a broader range of media strategies at my fingertips,” Schmidt said. “Scott Walker Media is truly one destination where clients can get exactly what they need with unparalleled media experience!”

Prior to the addition of Schmidt, in 2019, SWM acquired a technical group to offer uniquely tailored Digital Marketing services, such as website solutions from hosting to development, Search Engine Optimization (SEO and local SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

In 2018, Scott Walker retired from a 23-year local news career to launch Scott Walker Media. Most recently, he served as the primary news anchor at WDSU-TV. In late 2019, Walker was elected to the Jefferson Parish Council as a Councilman At-Large.
